Warming up pitchers in MLB The Show 08?

i cant figure out how to warm up relief pitchers in mlb the show 08. i put someone in the bullpen for atleast 2 lengthy innings, and thier status still shows "cold." am i doing something wrong? do they need to warm up longer? just seems like 2 innings should be enough.
