Are leggings still in style??? ?

well i just got this tunic shirt thing and it is kinda long for a shirt but too short for a dress... and it look absolutely dumb with some skinny jeans.. it is white see thru and has some brown studs on the front and i would wear a tank top under neath it. i cant find a pic of it online though sorry... and well the fit is baby doll and empire waiste. and it goes just below my but it is see through so it definately cant be a dress.. how do you think it would look with leggings??
