Just enlisted as a Navy Corpsman?

hi i enlisted in the navy yesterday as a hospital corpsman but i know that doesnt mean i will automatically go to a hospital. what are the chances of getting attatched to a marine unit and going through all that traing once im done with basic and a school? i wouldnt mind doing that, i just would like to know what the navy has been doing with the majority of their corpsman? and how long is the corpsman's deployment with a marine unit once greenside? is it the same length as a marine tour?
